This webinar provides a special opportunity to learn about the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs directly from Program Manager, Dr. Genevieve Lind

The mission of the NOAA SBIR program is to stimulate the U.S. economy and business growth through the commercialization of innovative mission-relevant technologies by investing NOAA research funds in American small businesses and providing guidance to entrepreneurs throughout the process of researching, developing, and commercializing products or services.

From daily weather forecasts, severe storm warnings, and climate monitoring to fisheries management, coastal restoration and supporting marine commerce, NOAA’s products and services support economic vitality and affect more than one-third of America’s gross domestic product. NOAA’s dedicated scientists use cutting-edge research and high-tech instrumentation to provide citizens, planners, emergency managers and other decision makers with reliable information they need, when they need it.

NOAA’s mission to better understand our natural world and help protect its precious resources extends beyond national borders to monitor global weather and climate, and work with partners around the world.

This webinar will help you to gain an understanding of all of the resources available to you for the highest likelihood of success in applying for one of these non-dilutive funding opportunities.

Dr. Genevieve Lind (she/her) is the SBIR Program Manager at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). She brings years of program management and policy experience in innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology development from the National Institute of Health (NIH), Small Business Administration, and academic and community innovation programs. She holds a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Montana.
