Proposal Assistance Funding Opportunity
The Colorado SBDC TechSource: Commercialization program has funding available to help women-owned, minority-owned and/or rural-based science and technology businesses access private resources for assistance with SBIR/STTR proposal development.
Grant awards will be up to $1,000/business. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, so it is recommended to apply as soon as possible. Grants will be awarded until funds are depleted. Preference will be given to businesses that have not received this grant in the past as well as those that are using service providers headquartered in the State of Colorado.
Businesses must be a science and technology venture based in Colorado that is women-owned, minority-owned and/or located in rural Colorado to be eligible to apply.
Awarded businesses must request an invoice from their chosen service provider for the grant amount awarded. The invoice must be made out and provided to the SBDC TechSource program for payment. This can be in advance of services, if necessary. The full invoice or proposal must be included, showing the grant credit. If the invoice is not provided by the deadline provided upon notice of your award, the grant award will be forfeited.
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, so it is recommended to apply as soon as possible. Stipends will be awarded until funds are depleted.
Here is a list of potential SBIR/STTR service providers. Please note that not all of these companies provide proposal writing services, but rather, they may assist with other aspects of the SBIR/STTR process. You are welcome to work with one of the companies on this list, or another company of your choosing. The companies listed have either participated with Colorado SBDC TechSource previously (as consultants or instructors), have requested to be added to the list, or have been suggested as resources by clients, consultants, instructors or other organizations. The SBDC is not permitted to endorse any private business. All contacts should be “vetted” to verify their backgrounds, expertise and how well they match your needs. Inclusion on this list indicates no implied endorsement for any consultant or business.
If you represent a company that specifically provides SBIR/STTR proposal writing assistance, and would like to be added to our list of providers, please contact us. We do not currently have other funding opportunities for those businesses that don’t fit the criteria listed above. However, if you are registered for our newsletter (sign up at the bottom of this page), you will be notified if opportunities do become available.
