The Colorado SBDC’s TechSource Commercialization program was created to maximize the economic potential of Colorado-based science and technology companies—especially those in the advanced industries. The program offers no-cost, customized, expert consulting and relevant in-person and virtual workshops and events.

During this interactive webinar, subject matter experts (SMEs) from the TechSource program will share snippets of their expertise on topics such as non-dilutive capital, primarily in the form of SBIR/STTR grants and funding from the State of Colorado (where you don’t give away any equity in your company), technology commercialization, R&D tax credits, market research and more. After the webinar, you’ll be given the opportunity to connect with the specialists that are of interest to you. There will also be a live Q&A.

Allie Clark

Allie is a corporate attorney who serves as outside general counsel to clients at all points in their corporate lifecycles, from formation to complex international mergers and acquisitions. She also represents investors seeking to grow their portfolios, ranging from angel funds to large private equity firms. Her practice focuses on general corporate matters, equity and debt financings, recapitalizations and strategic exits. Allie came to Sage Law Group from a mid-sized firm in Boston where she honed her transactional skills and developed a passion for advising entrepreneurs. Chuong Le is an attorney with 3i Law. He represents clients in the areas of corporate law, cross-border transactions, and private client services. Chuong has represented domestic and international companies during startup and formation, corporate restructures, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, import and export, and provided counsel to companies entering emerging markets, restructures, and growth strategies. He has also advised clients on business structuring and succession planning, including employee incentive programs involving stock option plans such as phantom stocks, restrictive stock options, and stock appreciation rights. Chuong emphasizes providing his clients with personal attention and an innovative and comprehensive approach to helping them meet their business and legal needs. He is dedicated to understanding the challenges that clients face on a regular basis and working closely with them to assist in achieving their goals.

Nathan Schneider

Media Enterprise Design Lab, University of Colorado Boulder
Nathan Schneider is an assistant professor of media studies at the University of Colorado Boulder, where he leads the Media Enterprise Design Lab. He is the author of Everything for Everyone: The Radical Tradition that Is Shaping the Next Economy, published by Nation Books, and two previous books, God in Proof: The Story of a Search from the Ancients to the Internet and Thank You, Anarchy: Notes from the Occupy Apocalypse, both published by University of California Press. His articles have appeared in publications including Harper’s, The Nation, The New Republic, The Chronicle of Higher Education, The New York Times, The New Yorker, and others, along with regular columns for America, a national Catholic weekly. He has lectured at universities including Columbia, Fordham, Harvard, MIT, NYU, the University of Bologna, and Yale. In 2015, he co-organized “Platform Cooperativism,” a pioneering conference on democratic online platforms at The New School, and co-edited the subsequent book, Ours to Hack and to Own: The Rise of Platform Cooperativism, a New Vision for the Future of Work and a Fairer Internet.

Jason is the Principal of the boutique law and business consulting practice Jason Wiener|p.c., and co-founder of “Colorado Cooperative Developers”. Jason specializes in cooperative law, shared ownership models, cooperative finance, regenerative capital and financing strategies, sustainable economies law, teal lawyering, virtual outside general counsel, and worker-ownership. Jason has advised on more than two dozen worker-cooperative conversions, several multi-stakeholder ownership conversions, and more than a dozen platform cooperatives. Jason has also advised numerous clients through socially responsible financings, including through membership capital campaigns, private offerings, and qualified intrastate public offerings. In 2019, Colorado Governor Polis appointed Jason to serve on the Employee Ownership Commission.
