This webinar will highlight one organization within the Department of Health and Human Services’ Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program, the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR) under the Administration for Community Living (ACL).

The intent of NIDILRR’s SBIR program is to help support the development of new ideas and projects that are useful to persons with disabilities by inviting the participation of small business firms with strong research capabilities in science, engineering, or educational technology.

During this webinar, you will learn about:

SBIR Program Manager, NIDILRR
Brian Bard is the Program Manager of the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Program at The National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR), under the Administration for Community Living (ACL), under the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Before joining NIDILRR, Brian worked at the Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services / Rehabilitation Services Administration (OSERS/RSA) as a grants management specialist handling assistive technology formula and discretionary grant programs.

Brian’s portfolio includes grants in the SBIR program, the Spinal Cord Injury Model System, technology-related field-initiated projects, Switzer fellowships, and others.
